    Harris County

    Harris County is the third largest county in our nation, with a population of more than 4.5 million—over 16% of the state's population. The County seat is here in Houston. The county website provides information about county services including, Flood Control, Voter Information, Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, Sheriff's Department, Public Healthy and Safety, County Judge and Commissioners' Court, among many others.

    Precinct One

    WAMM is served by Harris County Precinct One, one of the four precincts of Harris County. Harris County is governed by the Commissioners Court, comprised of four elected commissioners, along with an elected County Judge.

    County Sheriff

    The Harris County Sheriff's Office, the largest in Texas, works in conjunction with the State's other law enforcement agencies to serve and protect the diverse citizens of Harris County.

    WAMM is well-positioned and has not suffered during the major flood events that plagued Houston. The Harris County Flood Control District website provides readiness and information regarding flooding throughout the county.

WAMM Civic Association is a 501(c)(3)not for profit organization. The WAMM neighborhood is bordered by Westheimer, Alabama, Montrose, and Mulberry streets. We work together to build a safe, inclusive community for our residents and to share helpful resources and information to enrich our quality of life.
